Blisko 100 seniorów z Czekanowa przyjęło zaproszenie miejscowego Koła Gospodyń Wiejskich, Rady Sołeckiej oraz OSP na Dzień Seniora. Specjalnie dla nich wystąpili artyści z Grupy Baletowej "Gwiazda".

Tego typu spotkanie jest zawsze doskonałą okazją do integracji mieszkańców, wspólnych rozmów i chwili relaksu. Wśród gości byli obecni m.in.: wójt gminy Piotr Kuroszczyk, ks. Bolesław Chorzępa, Damian Grądzielewski radny Powiatu Ostrowskiego oraz Izabela Banach radna Gminy Ostrów Wielkopolski.

W tym szczególnym dniu, życzenia długich lat życia w dobrym zdrowiu, w gronie najbliższych, pogody ducha i wszelkiej pomyślności złożył wójt gminy Ostrów Wielkopolski Piotr Kuroszczyk. "
